The Porsche Boxster Spyder will be unveiled to the public for production at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week. At 2,811 lbs the Spyder will be lightest Porsche offered in the line-up. Not only does the Spyder benefit from a shedding of 176 lbs, but the 3.4 flat six now puts out 320 horsepower. The interior is striped with trick red strap handles to open the doors. The Boxster Spyder will offer the purest driving experience, only coming behind the GT3. Is it worth the money or should you just buy a 911? The Spyder would be more fun in the city and on back roads, but the 911 offers effortless grand touring and faster thrills on the track. Pricing is set at $61,200 when it goes on sale in February.

New Porsche Sport Classic brings back the flair of the classic 911s
Porsche AG has distilled the DNA of the classic 911 into a select expression of class and style. Built in strictly limited numbers for the most enthusiastic well-healed fans, the 911 Sport Classic marks Porsche's return to the tradition of occasionally issuing ultra-exclusive production cars. The 911 Sport Classic was presented at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show along with the 2010 911 Turbo, GT3 RS and GT3 Cup race car. The Sport Classic was made with the wide flares of the 4 wheel drive 911, a ducktail, and the 3.8 liter flat-six. Interestingly, modern versions of the classic Fuchs wheels will be bolted on. Power will be 403 horsepower with a steep price of just over $240,000. Production will be held to just 250 cars.

Wednesday Car News
A redesign of the BMW 5 series has been long overdue, so here are the released pictures of the all-new redesigned BMW 5-series. The appearance is much more appealing than the previous generation with long arches and revised panels and lights. The appearance is a combination of the new 7-series and 3-series. The engine line-up consists of the familiar twin-turbo inline 6 and the 4.8L V8. The new engines may be the diesel inline 6 (currently available in the 3-series) and the twin turbo V8 in the M5.
